There is always something BIG going on in Big Sky no matter what time of year you are visiting. From wintertime on-mountain events like the torchlight parade and Snobar to summertime fireworks and athletic competitions, there is something for everyone!
As you plan your next trip to Montana keep the following fun events in mind; the stars might align and your trip may coincide with some of these exciting events and festivals. Or, plan for the event! Come to town just to see what the hype is all about, there is so much to do, see and explore in our neck of the woods you are sure to have a great time.
- Winter Events
December - Torchlight parade on the 24th. Santa skis down the ski hill.
January - 2 weekends of Snobar- Resort makes a bar out of snow and brings in a DJ. - Spring Events
April - Pond Skim and the Big Sky Bluegrass Festival
- Summer Events
July - 4th of July celebrations different each year but there is always a free concert in the town center park with fireworks - Fall Events
September - The Rut Run- big mountain race sponsored by North Face
November - Opening Day on Thanksgiving
